MINUTES

Regular Monthly Meeting Lackawaxen Township Board of Supervisors, Wednesday February 18, 2009  

The meeting was called to order at 6:30 p.m. by Chairman Stuart, Supervisor Gelderman, Solicitor Waldron and Municipal Clerk Roe were present.  

A motion was made by Stuart to accept the agenda as presented and amended.  Second by Gelderman.  Motion accepted.  

 A motion was made by Stuart to approve the minutes of last months meeting.  Second by Gelderman.  Motion accepted.  

A motion was made by Gelderman to approve the bills in the amount of $281,686.02 in the general fund and $11,208.98 in liquid fuels .  Second by Stuart.  Motion accepted.  

OLD BUSINESS  

Dziedzina/Knoll/Putzrath- A motion was made by Stuart to table the Minor Subdivision/Lot Consolidation.  Second by Gelderman.  Motion accepted.  

D’Addario/Adayev-A motion was made by Stuart to approve the Minor Subdivision/Lot Consolidation for lots #248 & #249 &#250 in Masthope as our attorney recommended.  Second by Gelderman.  Motion accepted.  

CAC Meeting- Announcement made by Stuart. A presentation will be given to the Planning Commission on March 4th at 6:00 pm prior to the regularly scheduled meeting of the Planning Commission.  

Nuisance Ordinance Workshop- Announcement made by Stuart.  A workshop will be held on February 25th at the Township Building at 6:30 pm . 

A motion was made by Stuart to schedule a Nuisance Workshop for March 30th at 6:30 pm . Second by Gelderman.  Motion accepted.

 South Canaan Cellular- A motion was made by Stuart to schedule a conditional use hearing for March 19th at 6:30 pm .  Second by Gelderman.  Motion accepted.  

NEW BUSINESS  

Harrison- A motion was made by Gelderman to approve the Lot Consolidation for lots #818 & #819 in Masthope.  Second by Stuart.  Motion accepted.   

Dave Holbert- A motion was made by Stuart to schedule a conditional use hearing for March 19th at 6:00 pm .  Second by Gelderman.  Motion accepted.  

Giorgi/Blanco- A motion was made by Stuart to table the Minor Subdivision/Lot Consolidation for Lots #189 & #190 & #191 in Fawn Lake .  Second by Gelderman.  Motion accepted.  

SOLICITOR’S REPORT  

Laurel Ridge Development- Update regarding storm water issue- A formal request has been submitted for the records at Pike County Conservation.  A formal letter will be submitted that they have no records of plans for a storm water plan.  The erosion and sediment plan was approved.  Solicitor will continue research.    

Zoning Violations- Appeal filed in court regarding cleaning up of a site located on 590 and the Court ordered a cleanup of the site.  There are two other violations currently pending.

Masthope Escrow- Still pending and being worked on.  

ANNOUNCEMENTS  

Public Comment was had.
